About

We believe that speculative fiction isn’t just writing — it’s the act of weaving brand new worlds.

The Brass Tacks:
World Weaver Press is a publisher of fantasy, paranormal, and science fiction, dedicated to producing quality works, operating out of Michigan and Chicago.

Our titles can be purchased in paperback and ebook editions through Amazon, BarnesandNoble.com, Kobo, OmniLit, and other digital and print distributors of books. Ask your local Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, or IndieBound store to carry copies.

We accept unsolicited queries May 1 – July 31 annually.

As a small press, we are owner operated but otherwise function as any other traditional publishing house. We are not a “vanity press” or seller of “publishing services.” This means we read and reject many submissions which we are not in love with. We accept the projects we are passionate about, edit and refine their content, copyedit them, format layout for paperback and multiple ereader platforms such as Kindle and Nook, develop cover art for them, sell them on multiple storefronts, and publicize them through media outlets. We don’t charge our authors fees; we pay them royalties.

Our Mission:
To publish, market, and distribute quality fantasy, paranormal, and science fiction that engages the mind and ensnares the story-loving soul.

We believe in great storytelling. We believe in challenging genre boundaries and engaging the fundamental human drive to tell stories that resonate emotionally. The way we do it is by partnering with great writers to craft the best fantasy, paranormal, and science fiction stories possible. By creating beautiful, well designed paperbacks and ebooks. By growing their publicity. And by fostering a family of authors excited to work with us. We just happen to make great books.

For more about our philosophy on where we stand in the world of publishing, see our posts on “Bridging the gap” and “Time to go pro.”
